5:26 “Lucy At The Gym” by my new favourite Jill Sobule. You might have heard her collaboration with some other ladies against net netrality in the song “God Save The Internet“. She’s not quite purely independent as she’s had a hit in the past and had albums out with mainstream record companies. But I’d never heard of her, and really liked her tunes. Her tunes I feature are indie. Check her out on iTunes to sample/buy her great music. I really like her lyrics and poetic, yet sad, while funny turns of phrases.

I heard a theme song from a TV show I haven’t thought of for years and thought about doing a little contest to see who could name some of these famous tunes (but I’ve not had responses from my previous audio contests, so email me or put a comment here if you want me to do it on the next show).

Doug is my nextdoor neighbour. My wife and I enjoy a good rapport with him. We exchange pleasantries across the fence and keep an eye on each other’s house when on holiday. When (not if) my kids are playing football in the backyard, and their ball goes over the fence, he’s happy for them to climb over and get it. That sort of thing.
This was the first time I’d ever heard about him being captured by the
Germans in "the War".
