She’s not quite purely independent as she’s had a hit in the past and had albums out with mainstream record companies. But I’d never heard of her, and really liked her tunes. Her tunes I feature are indie. Check her out on iTunes to sample/buy her great music. I really like her lyrics and poetic, yet sad, while funny turns of phrases.
