There’s so much good music out there, I’ve included an extra song in this show… And a reprise of the comedian from last show especially for my friend of many decades–Mary G.!

Show #5 Techie Bits

by @ 12:26 pm. Filed under Technicalities

As I said in the last entry of Technicalities, sorry about the sound problems with the talkie-bits.
When I can’t go back and re-do the interview, I’ll choose a good interview with some sound problems anytime over just throwing it away.

One of my microphones was making a lotta background noise everytime I moved my head (in intro & outro). I’ll do some more tests before using that one next time. I actually recorded a much better intro/outro at work on my lunchbreak, but the sound quality using my dictaphone feature on my digital camera just didn’t cut it (too much background noise). Shame, my enthusiasm for Ann Heaton came across much better in that version.

Web Stuff

I broke the RSS feed (the automagic thing which delivers new shows to your computer/MP3 player) simply by putting:

“PubDate” instead of “pubDate” in a file with loads of other stuff where it was hard to spot.

I’ve got a little script to make the new entry for each show in RSS format, but I need to expand it to do iTunes stuff.

Special thanks to Rob Costlow for kindly allowing me to use his brilliantly thoughtful and unique piano music.  You hear it in the intro and outro, the song is "Family" from his CD "Sophmore Jinx".  Join me and buy it here.
